ABOUT USHistoryThe Liberty Alliance Federal Credit Union was established in Royal Oak, Michigan in 1936 to serve the financial needs of employees of the Square D Company. That was less than two years after the Federal Credit Union Act was passed by the Congress of the United States. Our Charter Number is 1220, which indicates that we're a pioneer in the Credit Union movement. Board of DirectorsThe Liberty Alliance Federal Credit Union is owned by members and managed by a Board of Directors comprised of seven dedicated members who are elected by the members. The Directors are unpaid volunteers who provide direction and control of the affairs of the Credit Union. The Supervisory Committee, made up of unpaid volunteers appointed by the Board of Directors, examines the operation of the Liberty Alliance Federal Credit Union and audits the books on an annual basis.
